Alcohol or Drug Passengers |
Regulatory Requirements
Airlines, under international and local laws, may prevent a person from boarding an aircraft when there are reasonable grounds to believe that the person's faculties may be impaired by alcohol or a drug. Such persons may present a hazard to the aircraft or pose a threat of violence or abuse to other passengers and crew members.
Passengers must not consume their own alcohol while on the aircraft. On flights, passengers are only allowed to drink liquor provided by the airline.
Cabin crew members must not serve any intoxicating liquor to a passenger where there are reasonable grounds to believe that the person's faculties are impaired by alcohol or a drug.
Airlines may allow a person whose faculties are impaired by a drug to board an aircraft when the drug has been medically administered. The person has to be under the supervision of an attendant on the flight.

Passenger Responsibilities
Passengers on board an aircraft:
- Need to be aware of the international and local laws, penalties and fines governing alcohol and drug usage when traveling by air.
- Must comply with instructions given by any crew member regarding safety of the aircraft or other persons on board.
