N51157 AIRCRAFT ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION
Investigations continue into the aircraft accident involving Piper PA-34-T200 a twin engine Seneca, registered N51157 at Tinson Pen Aerodrome (MKTP) on August 15, 2024. The Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority (JCAA), which has the responsibility for the investigation has indicated that they are awaiting the report of the right engine teardown examination to complete the Airworthiness Group Report.
N3254B Aircraft Accident Investigation Final Report
On May 5, 2023, a Univair Aircraft Corporation (formerly Engineering & Research Corporation) aircraft, model (ERCO) 415-C, Registration N3254B operated privately, departed Tinson Pen Aerodrome (MKTP) runway 32 at 14:00 UTC (09:00am local) with two souls aboard for a 20-minute VFR flight to Ian Fleming International Airport (MKBS) at a reported altitude of 2000 feet mean sea level (MSL).
2024 Aug 6 N51157 Preliminary Report
On August 15, 2024, a Piper Seneca PA-34 veered off the runway while landing at Tinson Pen and crashed coming to rest beside a hangar at the facility.
2024 Jan 6 JA-2024-01 Final Report
On Saturday, January 6, 2024, at approximately 0555 UTC, the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority received a report from the Jamaica Defence Force. They discovered an unidentified aircraft on an unregulated airstrip in Braes River, St. Elizabeth. The aircraft appeared to have crashed.
